Privacy Policy
1. Local-First Architecture
Business details, clients, vehicles or properties, jobs, quotes, invoices, expenses, notes, photos, signatures, waivers and settings are stored locally in SQLite on your device. They are not uploaded to ValoDesk. We do not sell personal information, run an advertising profile, or operate a central customer database. Device security and access to your unlocked phone remain your responsibility.
2. Optional User-Controlled Cloud Backup
If you connect Google Drive, the app writes an encrypted vault to the hidden appDataFolder in your own Google account. If you connect WebDAV, the vault is sent to the server you supply. In both cases the vault is encrypted on-device with AES-256-GCM before upload; the passphrase and key stay with you. We cannot read the vault, recover a forgotten passphrase, or restore data from a lost or unbacked-up device. Your storage provider’s terms and privacy policy also apply.
3. Camera and Contacts Permissions
Camera and photo access are used strictly on-device for job walkaround photos, damage documentation, receipt capture and receipt OCR. Contacts access is optional and used only when you choose to import a client. Photos, OCR text and contact details are never uploaded to ValoDesk servers. You can deny or revoke these permissions in Android settings; the rest of the app continues to work.
4. Google Play Billing
ValoDesk Pro subscriptions are sold and processed directly by Google Play Billing. Google handles payment details and provides the app with entitlement information; we do not receive your card number or full billing details. Google’s privacy policy applies to the purchase. You can manage or cancel the subscription in Google Play Store settings.
Device permissions, sharing and retention
Messages, email and PDFs leave the app only when you choose to share them through Android’s share sheet. Local data remains until you delete it. A cloud vault remains in the destination you chose until you delete it there. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to answer the request and meet legal obligations.
